Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care

When your pet is sick or injured, they deserve only the best care. Augusta Animal Emergency is able to provide immediate in house diagnostics and innovative therapies which helps us to provide the best possible outcome for your special family member. Our imaging equipment is second to none with access to ultrasound, endoscopy, and digital radiography. We actively avoid all preventative health care services such as vaccinations and heart worm medications so that we can focus solely on your pets’ injury or illness.

Animal Emergency – What to do?

STAY CALM Animals will sense your panic and elevate their level of distress to match yours.

BE CAREFUL Animals that are in pain will injure you regardless of your past or future relationship. Transport injured and ill pets slowly. Use towels to cover the muzzle and paws. This will help protect, but not always prevent you from injury. All injuries to humans by animals need medical attention at your local hospital/urgent care center.

CONTACT Please call Augusta Animal Emergency prior to your arrival so that we can be ready for your pet’s visit and help reduce unnecessary waiting.

EXPECT The staff of Augusta Animal Emergency will help transport your animal from your car into the lobby if needed. We will quickly triage your pet in our treatment room while you fill out our admission sheet. AAE boasts a minimal wait time from presentation to first exam, but you may be asked to wait while we process each patient according to urgency.
