Julie Mercado
Julie's career as a veterinary assistant started at the early age of 15 as a volunteer. With the completion of an apprenticeship program in a local veterinary practice in 2000, Julie established the role of a technician.
She has now received more than 10 years of experience, four of which have been spent in emergency and critical care medicine at AAE.
Julie currently has a 6-year old Boxer who is happy to donate a unit of blood for the clinic, which he does often, for a mere can of quality dog food!
In her free time, Julie enjoys riding horses with her 4-year-old son. She and her son also enjoy trips to the beach every chance they get.
