Shelby O’Neal, LVT - Practice Manager
Shelby O’Neal has worked within the veterinary profession for more than 17 years, and has been a part of emergency and critical care for more than 10 years.
She was a Wildlife Biology major in her early college years and later decided to attend the Veterinary Technology program at Tri-County Technical College in Pendleton, SC. She graduated in 1997 as a Nationally Licensed Veterinary Technician, and went on to teach as an Adjunct Professor within the Veterinary Technology program for several years before realizing she missed the excitement of working in a veterinary practice.
She has worked in several progressive general practices in Upstate South Carolina and Georgia, but is most stimulated by the diversity and exhilaration achieved in emergency veterinary medicine.
Shelby became a part of Augusta Animal Emergency in 2002 as a full-time technician, and became Practice Manager in 2005.
“I have always enjoyed the many challenges and the accelerated pace that working in an emergency practice has afforded me as a licensed technician. Working at Augusta Animal Emergency has given me a complete understanding and appreciation of compassionate veterinarians and staff that offer their very best every single day. The quality of veterinary medicine and level of care provided at Augusta Animal Emergency is exceptional and unsurpassed. I am proud to be a part of such a wonderful, dynamic team of veterinary professionals.”
When the patient is special and the condition is critical you will want immediate, experienced, competent emergency care.
